Abstract
Abstract: The aim of the presented PARMED Project is to provide medical stuff with a large database of image and video data, distributed over several medical centers in Europe. This database is queried with user-friendly and intelligent interfaces. They are also responsible for processing the incoming video streams for the later use, i.e. for diagnostics or teleeducation. Other aspects of the project is to develop services for multimedia data management and archiving with quality of service requirements and the modeling of the video and image data.
